Easter!!!

We had a great Easter weekend! Brooklynn's couldn't wait to "paint eggs" I made her wait until Saturday night and I think it just about killed her! Finally it was time and she has a great time!

She just wanted to stick them all in and do it all by herself- with me being so OCD about not making a mess I had a little bit of a hard time and I had to help a little :)

The Easter Bunny left this for Brooklynn thanking her for the carrots she left for him- she was a little worried that Duke would eat them so she said we would have to keep him in his cage. (he got them anyway, but she doesn't have to know that)

Happy Birthday!!

Bryce turned 27!! I tried to throw a little surprise party for him for his birthday but he had already tried planning something that night so I ended up having to tell him about his party and it wasn't much of a surprise. But it was still fun to have his friends from high school over and have a little party. He doesn't get to see them very often cause he's always so busy so he had a great time!

We ended up going to Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner and the lucky birthday boy got to ride the bull while they sang to him- none of my pictures i took turned out that great and I was a little disappointed cause it was pretty funny to see him get so embarrassed!

This little girl is all of a sudden full of personality!! She has been such an easy going happy little girl. I can't believe she turned one this month! Time has flown by and we love every minute we get to spend with this little cutie!! Here are a few cute pictures that catches her little personality-

1st Hair Cut!

So we decided last week it was time for Madi's mullet to go! It was WAY to long!

Here's the lovely mullet and the little curls I had to cut off :(

She was very good while I tried cutting her hair and I must say I did a pretty good job:)

Changes..

It's a little bitter sweet when I think about the changes we have made the past few months. We are excited to start this new chapter in our lives but also very sad to have to leave some things behind :( Bryce woke up one morning in August and told me he wanted to go to Pharmacy school. I laughed and thought "Okay whatever it's just a phase and it will pass." But it didn't. He was very serious about it and we knew we would have to make a lot of sacrifices for the next 5 years to make this happen. We prayed and prayed about (hoping I would get a different answer) but we knew it was the right thing to do. We decided to put the house up for sale and he enrolled in school and has been taking classes to get into the school. Hopefully by fall he will be applying and soon be accepted. I have no doubt that he can do it and I support him all the way. With this decision we have had to sell our house, leave our ward and callings that we loved, leave our great friends we have made and move to Riverton.

I'm really going to miss our house, I already do! We spent 4 years here and have done a lot to this house to make it ours. But I know this is what we are suppose to be doing and it's just a few years of sacrifice for a better future.
We already miss our friends alot!!! We had made some great friends and we loved getting together to hang out and let the little kiddos run around and play. I know that we will keep in touch and remain friends it's still a little sad to think about they aren't just down the street anymore :(

We already love being here in Riverton close to family and more familiar with this area (Bryce grew up in West Jordan and this feels a little more like home to him). With Bryce working part time and going to school full time he has managed to still spend more time with us (more than when he was working full time) so I am really grateful for that. He has been doing really well in all of his classes and we are so proud of him for all of his hard work and dedication!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day this year was a lot of fun! This was the first year Brooklynn really got into and understood what Valentines Day was. She was so happy to get invited to a Valentines party with some new friends in the ward. We went and picked out some Valentines from the store and she had to make sure there would be enough for her to get one for herself :) (she didn't quite understand until the party what was going on) At the party they decorated Valentines bags, cupcakes, played games, and exchanged Valentines. She carried her bag around for a few days cause she just loved them so much! She also wanted to decorate cookies and take them to her cousins- she told her dad "now that I live close to my cousins I can take them cookies" so we did and she loved it!

No Naps!!

This is what not taking naps for 6 weeks will do to a kid........

She came home from the store with daddy and crashed on the couch- which is so unusual for her! She is very particular about only sleeping in her bed and with her blanket. She has refused to take naps since we moved and I think it finally caught up to her :)
